International Staff Community Meeting (in-person)

We are hosting two community meetings this month to better understand concerns from affected UCU members who are international staff.

• In-person: Mon 15 Dec 2-2:50pm James France CC029A (map) (wheelchair access & induction loop available)
• Online: Fri 19 Dec 11-11:50am – Please check you email for a calendar invite and a link to join (email the branch if you need it resending)

Alternatively, if you cannot attend the meetings but would like to contribute, please email the Equality Officer with any questions or written comments.

How will we use your contribution?

These meetings will be facilitated by our Equality Officer and minuted anonymously. The information gathered will feed into a summary shared with members and be used to inform our strategy and negotiations with management, keeping individuals’ safety in mind.

We also plan to encourage a University contribution to the next government consultation on the issue (due 12 Feb). Participating in either meeting or emailing comments directly signals consent for your contributions to be used, anonymously, in this way.

To look out for each other’s well-being, please give the in-person meeting a miss if you are ill or feeling unwell. Feel comfortable wearing a mask if it is your practice.
